JCC Early Learning Center (Acton)JCC Early Learning

The JCC Early Learning Center (ELC) Acton Summer Program provides a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children in accordance with NAEYC’s “Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Program” standards.

Children will explore their environment and teachers will follow the children’s interest to create a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the children’s investigations of the world around them.

We offer a broad range of carefully designed, age-appropriate activities including nature walks, storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor and indoor water play, movement and music, Jewish enrichment and recreational games for your child to enjoy. Each activity is led by knowledgeable, supportive staff members, who meet the MA Department of Early Education and Care qualifications.

The JCC is open to all regardless of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or disability.

Lunch

Children are asked to bring a dairy, kosher or vegetarian lunch. Kosher snacks will be provided.

Jewish Life

Jewish rituals are a highlight of the JCC ELC Summer Program experience. Children experience a taste of Shabbat each Friday through songs, challah (bread) making, Shabbat candle lighting, and putting money in the Tzedakah (charity) box. On Monday we say goodbye to Shabbat and greet the new week with a Havdallah celebration. In addition, each month we welcome the new moon and share a celebration of Rosh Chodesh.
