Camp Life
The ELC reinforces values of kindness, helping one another, taking care of the environment, taking care of animals, and respect. Children have an opportunity to be part of a caring community and are supported by their teachers to learn how to negotiate conflict and engage in positive peer interaction.
Jewish rituals are a highlight of the Summer Fun experience, and the ELC all year long. Children experience a taste of Shabbat each Friday through songs, challah-making, Shabbat candle lighting, and putting money in the Tzedakah (charity) box. On Monday we say goodbye to Shabbat and greet the new week with a Havdallah celebration. And, each month we welcome the new moon and share a celebration of Rosh Chodesh.
