JCC Early Learning Center,
Brookline / Brighton
The JCC Early Learning Center (ELC) Summer Program provides a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the year-round physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children, in accordance with NAEYC’s “Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Program” standards.
We offer a broad range of carefully designed, age-appropriate activities including nature walks, storytelling, arts & crafts, outdoor and indoor water play, movement and music, Jewish enrichment and weekly in-house visitors for your child to enjoy. Each activity is led by knowledgeable, supportive staff members, who meet the MA Department of Early Education and Care qualifications.
The JCC is open to all regardless of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or disability.
Lunch
Children are asked to bring a dairy, kosher or vegetarian lunch. Kosher snacks will be provided. We offer an allergy-sensitive environment.
Jewish Life
Children experience a taste of Shabbat every Friday. The celebration includes songs, challah (bread) and Shabbat candle lighting. Each month we also welcome the new moon and share a celebration of Rosh Chodesh.
The preschool reinforces values of kindness, helping one another, taking care of the environment and respect of one another. Children have an opportunity to be part of a caring community and are supported by their teachers to learn how to negotiate conflict and engage in positive peer interaction.
