Additional Programs

Campers arrive each morning by bus or car, and are met by senior staff members who escort them to their units’ meeting spots. The daily schedule consists of 8 periods, including 1 each for Red Cross certified instructional swim, free swim and lunch. The youngest Grossman campers sample a wide variety of camp activities at a pace appropriate to their age. As campers mature, elective options are added into their schedule within the broad camp program. Many activities accommodate differences in skill levels, including certain sports and swim instruction.

In addition to the daily programs, each unit participates in either Family Nights or overnights; Kibbutz campers and counselors in training (CITs) have multiple overnights.

When camp ends at 4pm, campers enrolled in Grossman’s extended day program are transported by bus to the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (Newton) or MetroWest JCC (Framingham), where care is available until 5:45pm. There is an additional cost for this program, which is offered on a limited, space available basis and requires separate registration.

The 9th Week, follows the regular camp season and provides a longer day, with pickups and drop-offs available in select, centralized locations.
