Developing a sense of Jewish community and connection to the State of Israel are key ingredients of the JCC Maccabi Experience.
It is important to note that these programs are open only to Jewish teenagers, defined as: one of the participant’s parents is Jewish and the participant is being raised as a Jew or is a Jew by choice and is being raised Jewish. Host JCCs are required to provide kosher meals, including vegetarian options. Kosher home hosts are available upon request.
At JCC Maccabi Israel, The educational vision of JCC Maccabi Israel and JCC Association builds upon the history of the Jewish people in Israel by creating a meaningful dialogue between North American and Israeli Jews. With the focus on leadership training and personal development, participants and staff will work from a pluralistic perspective while dealing with issues of history, spirituality and the role of community in Jewish life. All activities are in compliance with the strictest possible safety and security guidelines, in accordance with standards set forth by Taglit-Birthright Israel.
