Mark Sokoll, President/CEO

Mark is a lifelong advocate, activist and educator working on behalf of
the Jewish community in Greater Boston and Israel. Since 1988 he has
had several posts at the JCC, including Director of Jewish Resources,
Executive Director of the Leventhal-Sidman JCC and Executive Director
of the Striar JCC. Prior to his tenure at the JCCGB, Mark spent time
working in Israel, as a Senior Educator at Alexander Muss High School
in Israel and as a licensed tour guide. During his service in the
Israel Defense Forces, he served as an educator at the IDF Institute
for Officer Training and Education.
A graduate of Boston University, Mark earned his Master of Arts in Near
Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University. Mark also received
Rabbinic ordination from Bet Din-Bet Achim in New York City and
continues to serve as part-time Rabbi at Temple Bnai Israel in Revere,
Massachusetts.
Mark is also the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Lenny Zakim
Fund, a not-for-profit foundation that funds grassroots organizations
in Greater Boston involved in building a better society for all. He
lives in Newton with his wife Marjie and children David and Talya.

Randi Federman, VP, CFO

Randi has been working at the Jewish Community Centers of Greater
Boston since 1985. She is responsible for finance, human resources and
information technology. Randi is a CPA and a member of the
Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. She lives in
Sharon with her husband Kenneth and daughters Rachel, Julie and Zoe,
where they are members of Temple Israel.

Betsy Jacobs, VP, COO

With a background in both the for-profit publishing and non-profit
reproductive rights worlds, Betsy became the Chief Operating Officer of
JCCGB in 2006 with a mandate to grow the reach and effectiveness of the
JCC. Her involvement in the Boston Jewish community includes many years
in the leadership of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she served
as the agency's first woman President, and of Combined Jewish
Philanthropies, where she was a member of the Executive Committee,
chaired the Community Services Committee, and initiated new services
for people with disabilities. She has received CJP's Young Leadership
Award, the Bureau of Jewish Education's Keter Torah Award, and has been
honored by CHAI (Community Housing for Adult Independence), a program
of Jewish Family and Children's Service. Betsy, her husband Edward, and
teenagers Sam and Laura live in Brookline where they are members of
Temple Ohabei Shalom.

David Chivo, VP, Development

David joined the JCCs of Greater Boston in 2006 to help grow its
flourishing development department. He has over 15 years of experience
raising funds for Jewish organizations in both the United States and
Canada. Prior to joining the JCCGB, he was Director of Development at
Hebrew College. He has also held fundraising positions at the American
Technion Society, Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Jewish
Federation of Greater Vancouver. David earned Masters Degrees from both
the Hornstein Program and the Heller School at Brandeis University, and
has a BA from the University of British Columbia.

Fiona Epstein, VP, Chief

Fiona has two decades of management experience within the Jewish
Community Centers of Greater Boston. In her position as Chief Program
Officer, she is responsible for streamlining and integrating programs
and services across JCCGB's Leventhal-Sidman JCC and Striar JCC
branches. Fiona has made her mark in the Jewish community with her
leadership skills, team building expertise and strategic planning
ability. She holds a Master's Degree in Jewish Communal work from
Brandeis University, where in 2005 she received the Bernard Reisman
Award for Professional Excellence. She is also a past recipient of the
Jewish Community Centers of America Professional of the Year award.

Joyce Dwyer, Assistant VP,
Center Director of Striar JCC

Joyce is the Center Director of the Striar JCC. Previously, she was the
Health and Fitness Director and has been working for the agency since
1989. She brings to her position close to two decades in providing
diverse programming skills and strong leadership and team building
skills. Joyce lives in Plymouth with her husband Mark. She has three
stepdaughters, Breanna, Cailin and Taya.

Esther Hanig, Assistant VP,
Center Director of Leventhal-Sidman JCC

Esther is the Center Director of the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community
Center in Newton MA. Previously, she was the Assistant Director of the
LSJCC for six and a half years, overseeing the operations of the
Center. She brings to her position close to two decades of experience
in non-profit strategic planning, management, budgeting and program
development. Esther has a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature
and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana
University.

Matt Adwin, Director of

Matt joined the JCCGB team in 2006 to head up the expanding Information
Technology department. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute,
Matt has been working in information technology for over 10 years,
beginning with UltraNet Communications, a small start-up eventually
purchased by RCN. More recently he worked in the IT group at Temple
Israel in Boston.

Rachel Levy, Director of

Rachel has been working at the JCCGB since July 2006. In the role of
Director of Marketing, she is tasked with bringing the JCCGB programs
and services together as part of one agency. Prior to her tenure at the
JCC, Rachel worked in brand management in the for-profit world for
Abbott Laboratories, Kraft Foods and Jim Beam Brands. She graduated
from Skidmore College and The University of Chicago Graduate School of
Business.

Jeanne Lovy, Director of

Jeanne has been working in the area of early childhood education,
professional development and quality improvement for over 20 years.
Most recently, she was with Mills Consulting Group, and she has also
worked at Wheelock College, the Child Care Resource Center and Tufts
University Educational Day Care Center. Jeanne lives in Concord with
her three children, Benjamin, Jonah and Rose, and belongs to Temple
Emunah in Lexington.

Stuart Silverman, Director
of Camping Services

Since 1977, Stuart has been a guidance counselor for the Lexington
Public Schools and the Director of Camping Services for the JCC. In his
many years at JCC Grossman Camp, he has brought many innovations and
changes, keeping the camp at a high level of quality and popularity.
Stuart received his BA in History from George Washington University, a
Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Springfield College, and a
Masters in Educational Administration from Boston College. He is
married and has two children who were campers and staff at Grossman
Camp. He and his wife Laurel, a school psychologist in Easton, reside
in Easton.
