JCC services—from hot lunches for seniors to camps and early learning for children, to holiday programs for adults with neurological, mental or physical disabilities—touch thousands every day. As a community, our backgrounds are more diverse than ever before—and so are the needs of our community members. As an institution, the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston eagerly accepts this challenge: our doors and our hearts are open to everyone.
Supporting our members
We take seriously the need to keep JCC services affordable. We also understand that from time to time families and individuals need more support in order to participate in our community. In particular, we strive to make nutritious hot meals and the JCC early learning and camping experiences accessible through scholarship funds for those with financial constraints.
The scholarship application process is handled with respect and discretion. Please see the JCC Early Learning Centers and camping sections of our website for more details.
Support from our members and friends
Contributions to the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston make it possible to serve the entire community through innovative programming, and to provide access to JCC services through scholarships and other support that keeps our community vital and strong. For example:
- $5,000 subsidizes hot lunches for seniors in Newton, Brookline and the South Area for one month
- $3,600 creates a summer camp scholarship at JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood for a child from a family facing difficult economic circumstances
- $2,500 subsidizes JCC memberships for five families
- $1,000 supports the cost of operating the JCC senior services van for one month
- $500 provides JCC Early Learning Center tuition assistance for one month
- $250 funds a facilitator to run a Jewish holiday program for adults with mental or emotional challenges
We especially welcome general operating support which affords the JCC discretion to apply funds to our most urgent needs; however, we encourage all inquiries specific to your interests.
